Kitano Tenmangu
Kitano tenmangu (Common name “Tenjin San”) is the shrine in Kyoto, which is famous for plum and red coloured leaves. This shrine enshrines SUGAWARA no MICHIZANE and the grand heads of the Tenmangu and Tenjinsha shrines, the number of which is about 12,000 shrines all over Japan, and which enshrine him as an enshrined deity. Also, there are many dedications of prayers and votive pictures of horses from examinees all over the Japan as the god of academy. On the 25th of every month many stands open for the temples' festival (Tenjin San).

Kinkaku-Ji
Its formal name is the Rokuon-Ji Temple, and the reliquary hall “Kinkaku” is especially famous, and is generally called Kinkaku-Ji, and registered as a component asset of a World Heritage (cultural heritage) “Cultural Asset of Ancient Kyoto”. This is one of the most famous sightseeing locations in Kyoto. The gold reliquary hall was constructed by Yoshimitsu ASHIKAGA, the third Shogun of the Muromachi Bakufu (Japanese feudal government headed by a Shogun), who was “Shogun Sama” in the animation “Ikkyu San”, and is the one of the representative architectures of the Muromachi Period. At that time, Kinkaku-Ji developed the site comparable to that of the Kyoto Imperial Garden, and many political functions in Japan were integrated there. In 1950, due to arson by the scholar monk Kinkaku-Ji, it was completely destroyed by fire. Kinkaku-Ji was reconstructed in 1955.
